There is an AHARI committee devoted to genealogy information. In the past few years genealogy resources have exploded and become much more accessible for the Armenian Community. Information that was hidden in attics, books, basement and memoirs is being translated and digitized on a worldwide basis. Organizations such as Houshamadyan, the Armenian Immigration Project, the Near East Relief and the Armenian Genealogy Group on Facebook are working on compiling resources that are available and searchable online.

Let us help you research your Rhode Island Armenian roots!

We can help you get started with your research on your Rhode Island Armenian roots. We are compiling all sorts of information which will be searchable on this website. We have extracted Armenian names from the Rhode Island state censuses – 1915, 1925, 1935. Also extracted names from the Providence Index to Births, Deaths and Marriages. There are also requiem lists, baptism lists, cemetery burials, Armenian owned businesses, Armenian professionals and so on.

Please send us an email with as information as you have and what you are looking for. Dates, first and last names, locations, occupations, etc.
